The 2011 Edition of the
F3F International Open of Caussols, French Riviera, is planned for the
15th to the 17th of July 2011.
After organizing national competitions since 2000, as well as the French National Championship of 2006 and two FAI Eurotour in 2009 (32 pilots, 11rounds) and 2010 (22 pilots, 16 rounds), The Modele Air Club de Cannes is very pleased to organize and invite you to its new edition of the F3F Eurotour in the French Riviera.
General Information:
The competition will be held in the village of Caussols, in the first mountains behind Grasse and Cannes, with a very nice sea view from the flying location.
The slope is at an altitude of 1300m, with direct air blowing from the Mediterranean sea.
During the summer, wind is most likely to blow from South / South-East, perfect orientation for our main slope. In case of a South West wind, another slope within 15min walking distance (flat) is possible.
If we experience "Mistral" wind (north, extremely unlikely during the summer), a final slope will be available, at 3km from the parking. A 4x4 will do transportation of heavy equipement and people needing assistance.
Registration
is CLOSED
Planning:
Registration of pilots on the slope and frequency verification will start on Friday at 9:00 am and will end 11:00 am. No flights on the slope on Friday morning from 10 o'clock onwards. In order to achieve a maximum number of rounds, flights will start on Saturday and Sunday morning around 10:00 am and flying will end when daylight becomes insufficient.
On Sunday, it is intended to start no round after 3:30 pm.
Number of Pilots:
The number of pilots is limited to 55:
- 25 French pilots (based on 2010 and 2009 national results)
- 30 International Pilots (1 junior per country accepted).
FAI License:
it is required to have a VALID 2011 FAI LICENSE as well as third party insurance valid for RC practice in France to participate to the competition. Verification of your FAI license will be done during registration.

Frequencies will be selected by the organizer based on the 2 channels provided during registration. Pilots will not be able to change their frequencies on the slope, so please be sure to provide the right frequencies during your registration.
